The Sea and the Sailor - M.Boudax

M. Boudax is a French singer-songwriter based in Normandy, near Deauville, where the annual American film festival takes place. Known for his diverse musical style, he regularly collaborates with other artists while also composing personal projects such as *The Sea and the Sailor*. His music explores a range of genres, with jazz, bossa nova, and Latin atmospheres being his preferred styles.

In 2011, M. Boudax decided to bring his lyrics and melodies out of his notebooks and share them with a broader audience. He writes and composes in various styles, always keeping a connection to the “French Song” tradition. His musical influences span blues, soul, Latin music, jazz, rock, folk, and iconic French performers. This fusion of styles contributes to the distinctive sound of his work and allows his music to travel beyond borders.

Currently, he is working on an album that embraces musical diversity rather than conforming to a restrictive framework. He collaborates with Caen-based musician Ludovic Formentin, crafting arrangements at *Le Studio Maltess*. Their creative partnership has resulted in 20 songs, many of which have received airplay on local and regional radio stations in France, Quebec, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, the Caribbean, New Caledonia, Brazil, Russia, and beyond.

M. Boudax has also been featured on prominent radio programs. In June 2014, he was invited by Jacques Sauvage to present his work on *Talents d’Ici* on Radio France Bleu Basse-Normandie. His latest songs were later broadcast in December 2017 on *Talents d’Ici* on Radio France Bleu Normandie. In March 2018, his song *Mon île* was selected by Pierre Therrien for airplay on *Plaisirs Therrien* on ICI Musique/Radio Canada, showcasing the strength and consistency of his musical craft.

His songs continue to resonate with audiences in France and abroad, creating a remarkable musical journey. Future collaborations with other artists are being explored, adding yet another dimension to his artistic evolution.
